yearbook write-up

since aya (one of my college friends) is a good writer, i asked her to compose something for my yearbook write-up. here's what she came up with:

With her trademark silky hair and chinky eyes, a lot of people say she looks like Mulan. Most people also have a first impression of Vanie as being snobbish or mataray. Maybe so, but only when the situation calls for it. Her friends will attest to how sweet and thoughtful this girl can be.

She also claims to be kinda vain, and why not? With the many talents that she has, Van has every right to be vain. A star volleyball player. A dancing and singing diva. A party girl who speaks gay lingo just like the original article.

Always one of the first to liven up a dance floor, Van has a cheerful disposition that makes her the life of any party. In fact, she has such an immense enthusiasm for life that it simply radiates to the people around her. Her name means butterfly, and she’s just that, flitting from one activity to the next, trying to get the most out of life.

Being the youngest of five siblings doesn’t make Vanie a spoiled brat at all. In fact she is a very strong-willed and independent lady who knows what she wants and goes for it.

More than anything, Van is a true and dependable friend. Whether you need a shoulder to cry on or an extra pair of underwear, Van won’t let you down.

when i read that, i didn't know how to react. i was just speechless and very grateful. i never thought that one of my closest friends would describe me as sweet. :p

thanks, sis! ;)

I was looking for an inspiration to come up with my cousin's write up and I came across yours. I was so glad because your friend described you in every way possible! It's like I know you already. The write is wonderful, and I bet you are too! :)
