kung hei fat choi!
HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR, ALL!
hmm.. i didn't know today's also the start of the lenten season. yeah, it's Ash Wednesday but i wasn't able to attend mass. come to think of it, i haven't attended mass for a very long time. my last was january 2 -- celebration of the three kings. oh well, guess my next would be easter. however, i'll be at panglao then. hmm.. i wonder if there's a church near the place we're staying. oh well, we'll see.
anyway, it's officially the start of the rooster year. i've heard a lot of negative predictions lately. here's what i can remember from what i've watched and/or read:
* the breadwinner of the family is prone to accident
* it is not a good year to start a business
* it is not a good year to get married
* it is best to avoid unnecessary spending
* earth and fire are the strongest elements
-> earthquakes and fire disasters are most probable this year
yeah, so much negative energy. i've never really been addicted (?) to predictions but in this case, i think it's best to be extra cautious. better safe than sorry. ;)
