been a while

hmm...it's been a while again. hmm..i've been saying that lately, huh? well, it has been a very busy week (again!) for me. as much as i'd want to write all about what's happening to me lately, i can't seem to find the time.

things i've done this week:
* work, work and more work!
* asked bullish to store mp3s to my phone's memory card and download the pictures from my phone's memory card (thanks, friend!)
* work, work and more work!
* scheduled a "date" with a girlfriend who i haven't seen for the longest time
* work, work and more work!
* watched american idol last night (finally after a very long time)

hmm.. come to think of it, i haven't really done much for myself lately. i've been stuck in this office forever and it's getting to me! i have to remind myself of that upcoming trip next week every hour so that i won't be stressed out. yup, will do that. have to do that. now, i'm happy again. :D

movie weekend

i was a couch potato again last weekend. i watched the following movies on DVD: taking lives, twisted, closer, and windstruck. you may wonder why a korean flick became part of the list. well, i watched my sassy girl a year ago and i really liked the film. it's a romantic comedy that was really great! since jeon ji hyun is part of the cast, i figured that this other film would be cool to watch as well. i was right. ;) well, just wanted to share... :D

remember this? well, 2 other developers filed their resignation. i also heard there's another one who stated (is this the right term?) his intent on leaving the company. this means that in a few weeks, only 2 developers will be left -- me and Onin. that's just sad. what's even worse is that it's taking our department too long to hire new people. it seems that our standards are set so high that even if there really are applicants out there who have the right skills aren't hired. oh well, guess i'll just have to wait.........

refreshed

back from a very relaxing weekend. yup, very relaxing. i went to the spa last night. got the jacuzzi-sauna-massage package. it was THE BEST! i felt very rejuvenated afterwards! ;) i also have great news... i got my new phone! finally! instead of the nokia 7260 that i've been dreaming about, i got the motorola E398. just check out the links for the features. :p

on with the story (workaholic part 2)

as i mentioned previously, i met with my officemate to unwind. we were supposed to go to niche, but it was cancelled so we hung out at his friends' apartment (in mandaluyong) instead. when we got there, his friends were watching the hunted on dvd. after the movie, they convinced me to sing for recording -- avril lavigne's complicated. (don't ask how it sounded!) after a few unrecorded sessions, we all went to makati to accompany my officemate's girlfriend during her break. after we were stuffed, we all went home knowing that we'll all be seeing each other again the following evening for my officemate's birthday party. true enough, most of us did. :)

anyway, the party was fun. during the first part of it, the oldies band rendered songs from "their time". after a while, it was the young's turn. again, they let me sing complicated then i played keyboards. (can you imagine that?) actually, my officemate was just dictating the chords to me.. the sound from the keyboard was more to fill in than to be the rhythm or lead. ;)

sunday was rest and family day for me. after lazing around the whole afternoon, my sister called and asked if me and my mom wanted to accompany her to the mall. since i had nothing to do, i hurriedly prepared. when she picked us up, i was surprised to find her whole famiily with her. when we got to sta. lucia, she started browsing for shoes so started my own browsing as well. i ended up buying 2 shirts and a skirt at genevieve gozum. i know, i don't really have budget for new clothes right now but they were on sale! 50% off! can you even resist? :p afterwards, she treated us at some chinese restaurant. while eating, we were eyeing the bowling lanes just beside the resto. since it was still early after we ate dinner, we decided to go for it. we played 4 games. i only won the first, but i was happy about it because my average was still ok.

great weekend, huh? but don't let that fool you. i'm in a week of pure health hell! i just hope next week will be a little better.

workaholic

i just realized that it's been a while (again!) since i last posted here. yeah, i've been really busy with work lately. it's like i don't have the time to do anything else anymore. when i take a "break", i usually choose to go down and smoke instead of surf. it's hard when your boss is a slave-driver. * sigh *

anyway, i just want to share what happened to me last weekend. let's start friday night. one of my officemates asked me if i wanted to "jam" with his friend at niche. since i had nothing to do that night, i agreed but while we were on the phone his friend texted that he won't be able to go anymore. we then decided to just meet and go wherever to unwind.

aww...i want to post so badly that i won't be able to finish this. oh well..i guess i'll just post what happened last weekend some other time. :(
